How we are working together

While no single organization can address complex community issues, we believe that by working together we can affect the positive change needed in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks. In the 1990’s, the collaborative began when leaders in our community decided to tackle complex issues differently with a unique vision of partnership and collaboration across sectors. Ever since, the model has been streamlined and strengthened – collaboration is the natural keystone of all our work. Here’s a look at how our collaborative fits together and the partners who have joined forces to improve the health and success of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks.

A Partnership with Many Roles

 Our Structure

  • Leadership

Redwood City Together is governed by 10 core organizations and agencies. The core agencies inform how Redwood City Together operates as the backbone agency in coordinating working groups and initiatives.

  • Working Groups

Redwood City Together manages regularly meeting with working groups that strive towards advancing equity, wellness, and education in the Redwood City and North Fair Oaks communities. These working groups are comprised of members from partner organizations who align with Redwood City Together’s values.

  • Community Initiatives

Community Initiatives (CIs) are short-term incubation activities, partnership or events that function to support an immediate need in the community or the collaborative efforts of our partners. They are spearheaded by the Executive Director and are intended to produce outcomes which inform and/or promote Redwood City Together’s Working Group goals.
