Early Childhood Working Group

Redwood City Together co-convenes this important working group along with 4C’s of San Mateo County and with the City of Redwood City to collaborate and assists partners in efforts to reduce poverty, improve the academic success of all students, increase community engagement, promote health and wellness and enhance safety. Our intention is to serve every child of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks with the best of our ability so they can thrive.

 Recent Milestones:

  • Supported outreach for Izzi’s Child Development Associate program

  • Hosted the Childcare Preview Night on March 21st, 2024, which engaged 40 families and brought together 25 early childhood care and education providers who had open subsidized spots for children ages 0-5 available

  • Hosted monthly meetings where over 16 early childhood experts participate to continue working towards the group’s goals

  • Launched an internship with Upward Scholars and Family Connections for an early childhood provider career track
